Tobacco chewing in various forms ( gutkha, khaini, paan masala, masheri etc.) is a rampant practice in the Indian Subcontinent. It has a strong association with development of mouth and throat cancer. But before developing a full fledged cancer, it sends out warning signals in the form of some reversible changes followed by unreversible changes.
This is a pictoral depiction of what can be achieved by completely ceasing tobacco consumption as early as 4 weeks of habit cessation, not to mention the overall improvement in ability to eat normal food and general condition of the body.
